LCZ 5:  Open mid-rise

• openly arranged buildings of 3 to 9 stories tall
• abundance of trees and pervious cover (low plants)
• concrete, steel, stone and glass construction materials.
• medium diurnal temperature range

LCZ 6:  Open low-rise

• openly arranged buildings of 1 to 3 stories tall
• abundance of trees and pervious cover (low plants)
• wood, brick, stone, tile and concrete construction materials
